The GSAapp is based on the database of the ChemInfo system, which is operated and maintained by a federal-state cooperation project. The countries involved in the cooperation, as well as their BOS associations, can use it in full free of charge.
In the GSAapp, information on around 40,000 substances can be intuitively checked using different profiles for fire brigade, specialist advisors, rescue services and THW .
You get the GSAapp with a demo database. This clarifies the functions of the GSAapp. If you are an authorized user of ChemInfo, you can download the complete database of the hazardous substances quick information with the registration data free of charge.
The GSAapp is divided into a substance and transport search. The transport search can be used to search for legal regulations and dangers of transported goods in general by entering search parameters in a visualized warning sign.
The text search can be used to research chemical properties of individual substances. Substance names, CAS numbers or UN numbers are used for input and search. Depending on the profile set, the information found is displayed in different tabs.
The information contained includes general material properties, hazards and measures as well as protection and first aid instructions.
